Construction:
This table screen consists of two parts-the inserted flat screen itself and its base. The flat screen easily
slips out for convenient moving. Two sliding tenons on the vertical rails would have supported the
decorative panel. Two mortises on the low horizontal rail accepted the bottom of that panel. The frame
panel drops into a groove inside the base stand. The front apron has raised carving and bead, but the
rear apron is plain, with no carving...
