This embossed panel was originally carved to adorn an antique canopy wedding bed as a top horizontal panel, well designed with
three layers and eight sections, elaborately deep embossed with an opera motif  “Guoziyi Baishou” (Celebration occasion on famous
General Guoziyi’s birthday) in the center and garden motif on both sides.
The vertical panel has three sections. The first two sections was open carved with Chinese character “Shuangxi “(double happiness)
and “Shou” (longevity), “bat” (Happiness) and floral motif. The third sections were mainly embossed with warrior and a running horse
motif. Weather crack at the bottom section.
The whole set was well designed and carefully carved. Many details of this carving show unique workmanship and careful carving. A
wonderful ancient Chinese opera with a beautiful scene and happy atmosphere is totally presented when it is hung on the wall. It’s
really very pleasing to the eyes and mind. It’s a rare architectural carving to collect.

The Chinese Antique Bed Board can be used as an archway screen.
